How do you think France will respond?

They will be pissed for awhile. Perhaps escalate their involvement against Daesh. They probably won't go full on shock & awe.

How will the rest of the EU respond?

From governments, tough talk, probably a little action. From citizens, probably increased pushback against refugees and immigrants from the ME.

    How will the US respond?

Obama will continue tough rhetoric while pursuing his current strategy of running out the clock. Basically, he's peeing down his leg.

How will the Muslim/Arab world respond?

Calls for the West to solve their Daesh problem.

    How will Putin respond?

However he responds it will be to exploit the situation for his own purposes. Also, where's that meme of Putin ****ing Obama's backside?

“France, because it was foully, disgracefully and violently attacked, will be unforgiving with the barbarians from Daesh,” Mr. Hollande said on Saturday, adding that France would act within the law but with “all the necessary means, and on all terrains, inside and outside, in coordination with our allies, who are, themselves, targeted by this terrorist threat.”

“There is no justification for such things, neither religious nor human, this is not human,” the pope said in a telephone call to TV2000, the television station of the Italian Episcopal Conference. “It is difficult to understand such things, done by human beings,” the pope added, clearly moved. He said he was close to and was praying for the families of the victims, for France “and for all those who suffer.”
Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany gave an emotional address on Saturday pledging solidarity with the French government and people, and calling on Europeans to stand together in defiance of an attack on the liberties the continent represents.
“We, your German friends, we are so close with you,” said the chancellor, dressed in a black suit. “We are crying with you. Together with you, we will fight against those who have carried out such an unfathomable act against you.”

Obama "Uh We are going to do whatever it takes... to work with the french people.... aaand... with... nations... around the world... uh to bring these... terrorists to justice...and to go after uh any terrorist networks that go after our people"

A significant question is whether any response that does manifest will effectively address the root causes of the problem.

I don't have the times, but this appears to be the order: "Sites attacked were two restaurants, Le Petit Cambodge and Le Carillon, both on Rue Bichat. Then came attacks on the Boulevard Beaumarchais, Rue de Charonne, Avenue de le Republique and Boulevard Voltaire. And the final attack was at the Bataclan music hall."

So what happened at the soccer stadium with the bomb? News is all focused on the concert hall.

Bomb planted just to create fear? Bad timer/setup that only damaged the building? Effective security checkpoint? Premature ejaculation of suicide bomber thinking of his 72 virgins?

According to the update, "Separately, two suicide bombers detonated explosives at a bar outside the Stade de France stadium north of Paris during a France vs. Germany soccer match where the President of France was in attendance. "

So, I guess that wasn't actually an attack inside the stadium itself, but at a bar just outside of the stadium...? Here's a link to the entire post with all of the information, they updated it constantly as events were unfolding. It's on Facebook, so I don't know if non-Facebookers will be able to see it:

    Add to this list,

How do "We" respond. Not the Gov. as they are running an agenda and this only feeds it.

In a democracy the collective "we" should respond by voting. However, as you suggested, there is an overwhelming push by various groups to not acknowledge causes (not even sure there is a consensus about any of the many proposed causes) of the problems. So what are our options?

    Just quickly thinking about it.
Support non-profits that support victims of terror attacks.
Support groups that are doing something about it or more consistently facing the same problems (Israel, Kurds, Yazidis and other Christians in the muslim world, Bahai, Druze etc.)
Educate yourself and your friends about the global issues.
Vote with your dollar. Do not support companies that push the agendas you are talking about.

    Anything other suggestions?

Guy with a suicide vest exploded near one of the stadium's entrances from what I understand.
The French President was at the stadium, all persons entering were searched.I don't think the terrorist had any chance of entering the stadium with a bomb or gun.

ISIL takes on the world. Looks like the Allied powers from WW2 now include both sides of that conflict. We needed something to get us on the same page. 9-11 did that for awhile. Let's see what Riyadh (the birthplace of radical Islam) volunteers to take on. Btw, to the civilians in Syria, Yemen, and Iraq, this is a daily occurrence. France has more experience than most in this arena. They owned Algeria for awhile (see Battle of Algiers).

I'm afraid that this will be the new normal. Everybody is afraid of everybody else and the ones we aren't afraid of, we're afraid of offending. We don't have a clear and defined enemy, nor do we have an agreed-upon front line. Until we get world leaders who didn't lose their BALLS, the terrorists will continue to be effective.
