I am still trying to settle on an ideal powder and load combination for the 45-70 with a 405gr bullet. Any recomendations on powder types and loads that have worked well for you. Working at 300-350 yards. Thanks

None of my local fun shops carry blackpowder anymore so I have been using Hodgdon Pyrodex for decades, as for grease I use Thompson Center Natural Lube 1000 plus, it doesn't cause fouling like some of the petroleum based greases.
