    The only regulation I'm aware of is for bird hunting. As far as that goes, no, the gun has to be incapable of holding more than three shells( wood dowel rod). I believe this is correct. I'd have to check the reg. booklet to be sure.

    I'm pretty sure there isnt a limit for the amount of shells for deer hunting but there is a limit for three for birds. I thought the rule changed after the made pcr's legal to hunt with

    It has been as many as you want for deer hunting ever since I can remember and that goes back to 1968..

    Some anti-PCR guys were bemoaning the fact that some PCRs hold a bunch of cartridges..

    They called us John Waynes and "The Rifleman" just knowing we would be rapid fireing at the deer..
