And power cycling the cable modem would fix that as well. Every time the modem reboots, it gets a new address.

Hmm, really. I have one of those timers that power cycle my modem/router every day. Does than mean I could set up a shill account every day and never get caught?

Depends on the size of the subnet. You'll rotate through them again soon enough.

But I gotta ask. Why?

Freakin mods have my photos button disabled!

A couple either have static ip's or literally never power cycle their modems.

This exact model runs my Christmas lights. Awesome. (but the fact that the on/off tabs are removable sucks as they get lost)

OK, makes sense and as I suspected.

FYI that means you need a firmware upgrade to fix the bug thats causing the lockups or a new one because the hardware is shot. But if you're cool with the equivalent of bungee cording the hood of your car because it works and its paid for, keep on truckin!
