If I understand this correctly the OP is asking about what ammo is loaded and ready to go in box magazines, tube magazines on the guns, revolvers or anythign else.

I have an 18" 870 with a tube full (6) of 00, on the side saddle there's (4) 1oz. slugs, and on the buttstock I have a stock pouch that has (10) rounds velcro'd to it on the outside, and another 10 or 15 rounds of 00 in the inside of it. I've got that shotgun setup to accomodate a lot surprises and where I don't have to worry about running out of ammo after a couple of shots. All the extra weight helps with recoil, and it's a heavy pig. Total of over 30rds at the ready.

My 10-22 has several mags loaded for it, but it's mostly just because I keep the mags loaded for the next time out to the range. I have a bunch of cheapo crap Remington subsonic loaded up in the mags so I'll remember to dump it all next time I go to the range. Then again I also have another mag that I keep just in case I need one full of tracers, and another two mags of what I consider to be my good 22lr ammo. All together I have 6 25rd mags that have 150rds in them.

Next up is my bedside buddy the glock 20SF. There's one mag that holds 15, and another that holds 17 (pierce grip extension), so there's another 32rds loaded up.

Next up is a little GI camo patrol backback that'll throw your back out if you try to pick it up without bending your knees. That backpack holds my AR mags that are loaded. Lets just say that number of loaded mags is a lot.

Most of my mags are loaded "for the convenience of saving time doing it at the range". That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

As far as the boating accidents go. I agree that it's all fun to joke around about loosing that stuff when big brother comes asking about it, but at the same time we as gun owners need to sack up a little bit and talk about what we legally purchased, legally own, and legally use. There's nothing wrong with ownign guns and ammo, legally or ethically.

    Scrounging brass
    about 900 in 7.62x39
about 150 in 7.62x54 (do stripper clips count?)
    about 450 in 9mm Ruger P-series magazines
    about 100 in .22LR (AR7 and HP22A)
    about 8 in 12 gauge

Or do you mean what I have AFTER the boating accident?...

9+1 in the 11-87 plus 8 in the side saddle, 4 in the speed feed stock, 6 in the but cuff = 28

    13 x 13 for the Glock 21SF = 169
    9+10+10 for the Glock 30SF = 29
    7 x 8 for the Beretta Tomcat = 56
    60 x 20 for the PTR-91= 1,200

    Total 1,454

This is the most I've had at one time in a long time haha.

    360 rounds - Federal XM85 5.56
180 shells - 12 gauge Winchester bird shot
    25 shells - 12 gauge Winchester Ranger 00 buck
    500 rounds - Assorted .22LR
    20 rounds - Hornady 9mm

I'm sure this stock will be devastated after the next range trip...

    Loaded mags:
    2 carry cases with 10 Pmag30's each so 300rds x 2 = 600rds 5.56
    1 20 round Pmag with super incendiary = 20rds 5.56
    2 10 round 6.8 SPCII = 20rds 6.8
    7 G30 and G36 mags = 40rds .45ACP

More of each boxed. Mainly have what I do because I hate loading mags once I get to the range, waste of time. I'd rather spend my time shooting.
