Is it just me, or does it seem the Obama administration is going out of their way to emphasize the "shut down" aspect once again? I saw photos of a single barricade with "park closed" on it supposedly to stop people from entering an otherwise open park?

Why of course they are. Unlike the prolonged >$3/gal gas prices, the media will leave no stoned unturned to parade the victims of this so-called shut down. Just when you thought they'd run out of diversions from the corruption of this administration-- abra-kadabra! another shiny object.

Well make sure all your friends and relations know who is trying to compromise and who isn't; the MSM damn sure won't report it. Also, you might want to make sure everyone you know is aware that the "Affordable Care Act" is the same thing as "ObamaCare" since the MSM apparently hasn't explained that, either.

It sure seems like, especially in these ACA and Shutdown threads, we all of a sudden have a bunch of people I've never seen on this site making comments that run contrary to the timber I generally see. Not that people on this site don't have a wide variety of opinions, but it sure seems a cross tide suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Been around longer than you old chap, and actually live in IN. Glad you took the time to notice my post though, must have struck a nerve.

Yep. All to vilify those "evil" Republicans for fighting encroaching socialism.

No doubt. Obama refuses to see that America does not like Obamacare and does not want it.

As a riot notice we found out that WIC and Tanf ( welfare) might not be on time as much. Food stamps are funded for like one year, but some people dont get their free stuff they might riot.

The federal government shut down about 15 times between 1976 and 1995, and the sky did not fall. It is a political tactic that used to be used more when more of our politicians listened to the American people and had the kahuhas to play hardball.

It's sad that anyone could possibly be this poorly-informed. Panem et circenses indeed.

Who said I was talking about you? And while I now live in NH, I joined here when I did live in IN. There just isn't another good alternative for the New England area.
