Sick of political ads

One of the ads I saw talked about how great one of the candidates was because he got healthcare without the help of the government.
So he can do that for everyone, with the government.

Then I start yelling at the screen.

I thankfully haven't seen any of these yet as I don't watch much TV. I hate political ads in general. It would be so much easier if candidates would just come out and state their stance on important issues without beating around the bush so I could actually know who to vote for this time. I usually agree with most of what Libertarian candidates have to say (although I do like social programs, but believe they need revamped) but the Libertarian running this time stated gun ownership is not a right, but a responsibility. I'm at a loss and ready for it to be over!
