Awesome gun for the money. I got mine in 2011 when they were cheap. 350 after taxes. Now they're about in the price range of a glock or m&p but still a good but, especially if you want a da/sa, hammer fired option. Keep in mind that sig magazines are kind of pricey and that's what pushed me towards other handguns.
See my post in the thread the first commenter linked to. I really like it. warrior bob is right that mags can be pricey. I scored some on sale.
If if you decide to get one, keep an eye out this holiday season the TacPac deal (2 mags, holster and laser/light). Might be able to find one for less than $500
Every once in a while Sig runs a rebate special. Buy a gun, get a bag and a mag. You might keep an eye on the Sig site for any specials with the holidays coming up.
My Sig 2022 was very well made and I got a great price on it. It is a very frugal way to get a feeling for the Sig platform. I thought the trigger was pretty decent on mine and it felt good in the hand.
I sold mine because I do not shoot the Sig platform well. I am not a fan of DA/SA trigger transitions. The slide stop and decocker both ride on the same level on the slide. I had issues with confusing the two (such as trying to drop the slide and accidentally hitting the decocker instead). My issues were all subjective and I have no problem recommending a 2022.
I bought my 2022 from KYGUNCO for $370. That included 3 magazines (mail-in special), night sights, tac holster, and carrying case. That was is in June 2014, but I bet they can still be had at a great price.
