**SOLD** My Sig 9mm has seen about 1k rounds and worked flawlessly. It has light wear from being holstered as my carry gun. Comes with 2 factory mags, hogue grips, orig factory grips, orig ballistic signature casings from factory and carry case.

I would really prefer to trade it for a REM 700 SPS tactical .308 - but, would take $475 cash if you simply want to buy. FTF INDY - thanks

The 228 has a stamped carbon steel slide, while the 229 has a one piece solid steel slide. The 228 was originally designed only for 9mm, but when the 229 was released, a stronger slide was required for heavier .40 and .357 Sig loads.

The 228 is consequently a little bit lighter and, if you're into the mil spec sort of thing, is currently issued to Army CID Agents and some air crews. It's designated the M11 by the Army.
