What's with all these new single stack pistols coming from manufacturers? Do they know something we don't know? Was not low count mags part of Feinstein's agenda?

Umm... what? Seems your just finally aware of single stack pistols...
    They've been around for 100 + years.

    Edit:
Single stack pistols tend to conceal easier. Manufacturers are responding to consumers.

I doubt manufacture are at all concerned over legislation news of late. If they were, they would be speaking up right beside the NRA.

single stack equals thin profile equals easier to carry.
That said, I think it is more the trend in conceal carry versus anything "we don't know"

Single stack tend to be thinner. They are like manna from heaven for those of us with small hands.

Interesting factoid about double stack vs. single stack 1911s.

Standard 1911 with Ed Brown grips:

Ya... the difference in double vs single stack 1911's is minimal, especially if you customize the polymer grip on a 2011...

The same cant be said of all polymer double stack guns.

Of course, you could always just load one side of a double-stack magazine. That might keep Governor Cuomo happy. :D
