I'll be getting a Lee Press (thanks Bob) and testing out this u-die.

I'm resizing for a Storm Lake Match barrel, not a standard Glock barrel.

    What's a Dillon Shell Checker?

    Similar Problem with .223

I have some .223 brass that won't fit the case gauge the same way as this Glock video shows.

I have a Lee FCD but don't recognize the other part this guy was using in the video. What is it?

OOV, how are you my friend?

Here is what I used for my .40 brass

Lee Precision, Inc. Reloading Tools and Equipment: Bulge Buster

not quite sure what you could use for the .223.

    Doing fine.

Pretty much in retirement mode these days what with the economy and age discrimination.

Last October I finished up a contract at Atterbury helping to train troops in Urban Warfare and IED avoidance headed for Iraq, Afghanistan & Kosovo.

A 63 year old fat man out there with the kids --- what a hoot.

    Stay in touch.

I've got a bunch of .223 that just lock up in the case gauge about a 1/4 inch before it gets to the rim. I hate to throw them away.

dillon's have good re-sell value, would it be cheaper to trade the sdb into a 550? Then you can use the U-die and only have one pass through the process. I'm all about getting the job done w/ as few steps as possible... through two presses doubles the effort, imo.

upgrading may not cost much more than buying a second single-stage press, but will save you LOTS of time/effort.

I'm already set up with a Lee single press and a bulge buster kit.

If anyone is needing a U-die for their 550/650, lemme know I'll make ya a deal ;-)

I also think my Storm Lake Barrel is just a little too tight, gonna send it back and have them open it up a bit.

1/4", then I would say there is probably a ridge around the mouth that isn't allowing the case to enter the gage. Try deburring a case and trying it.
You could also ignore the gage and try a case in your chamber.
