Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. I recently acquired a used SKS with a Tapco T6 stock (before panic pricing kicked in). I’mnew to semi-auto rifles but this one really caught my attention at my local shop.

On the butt-stock is a sling mount that seems fairly thick from what I’ve seen before. I purchased a comfortable sling from GM but thesling attachment doesn’t seem to fit the butt-stock mount. The attachment pointis roughly ¼ inch while the sling’s Talon swivels are much thinner.

    Closest sling online:

Granted, I am new to the sling mount game, but I would think google searches would come up with some foolproof way to attach the sling. Right now I’ve fashioned a key ring between the two and it seems like it’d hold, but don’t want to sell myself short if this has come up before.

Any ideas on how to attach a standard sling to a thick sling mount? Or, am I completely off base here and missing something obvious?

Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated and I extend mythanks to fellow IN gun enthusiasts.

    Thanks!

There is on the top portion of the stock a slot that is about an inch long. A 2 point sling that has no loops, just slip bucles slides throught that slot. the diameter of the tube is about an ich and a quarter or "so".
