If your are near a little town named Maggie Valley, visit the "Wheels Through Time" museum. Tons of classic and rare motorcycles, many which still run. Very interesting and worth the visit.

Backpack to LeConte Lodge and back. Hike to Abram's Falls and Ramsey Cascade. Do a day hike or overnight on the AT. You will regret none of these.

A stay at Leconte Lodge even better. Anything off the beaten track. The NE end of the park is not as heavily visited and would be swell hiking.

One week you can't even scratch the surface.

Thanks for all the advice I am taking notes!

White water rafting I forgot about that. That is on the list. I have only done the upper Gauley, will need something a little more tame than that for this trip.

If you have time get down to Wesser, NC, and book a trip through Nantahala Outdoor Center. See if they have any trips on the Chatuge River (think Deliverance).
