Today, I just received my W-2 from work and the home owners interest statement..... its always late Feb or March before I get my return. :(

I have been inspired by some of the posts as to what to buy w/ the return $$.

I owed this year. I seemed to have bumped myself into the next tax bracket.:noway:

Looks like I'll be buying some entitlement programs, a whole lot of federal debt, and a war that won't end.

    To All,

#1) Pay some debts! Fiscal responsibility and all that...;)

#2) Buy a gun safe. Need to protect what I have.

#3) Acquire more silver investment. Save for the future.

#4) Acquire some long term food supplies. Save for SHTF.

#5) Donate to political groups and nonprofits. Help my fellow man.

#6) A fine bottle of ale and single malt scotch. Need some medicine to put balm on the idea of how quickly it all goes away...:(

    Regards,

    Doug

Well thanks to 1) my wife being out of work and our income down 2) a new baby born last year & 3) my not changing my W4... We will be getting a sizable federal return this year. Enough to pay the state what I owe them and pay off my wife's medical bills (about $1500 total). Fortunately for us we with the exception of our mortgage we do not owe anybody any money and we actually have some rainy day funds in the bank. I was thinking of surprising my wife with the mothers ring she has been wanting. The wife is wanting to take the kids to Disney World.
