I got a single stage press for Christmas and started loading up multiple .223 ladder loads for this spring. Using Hornady 55gr, 68gr, 75gr over CFE223. Hopefully they show me the right charge for my basic AR.

Fixing up the steel box picked up at goodwill for a couple of bucks.
    Built the partitions.
Finishing the gluing of corduroy on the partitions for the range box to hold the corked bottles with weighed charges.
Will use a chart in the lid held in place by strip magnets to show what weight in each row.
The little bottles will hold more than 150 grains. At least 200 but 150 is all I checked on.
For now it will be used for the .52 with 38" barrel.
Next will be weighing the charges and launching huge chunks of paper wrapped lead.

I started playing with my new LCT press. I made up some 223 to try out. I think I will like this press more when doing pistol loads. I think I am getting my 223 process down. Once I settle on a load, I should be able to save time over the Rock Chucker.

Today I got my LCT running. I loaded about 225 rounds of .223 for my AR. I already had this brass prepped. I sized it, swaged, cleaned primer pockets, then primed with the RCBS hand primer. When I was setting up the press, I didn't like the safety primer system that came with the press. I will try priming on the press when I do pistol. Today I charged, seated, and crimped. It was so easy and awesome! Now I wish I would have waited loading the 9mm I did a month or so ago before getting this press.

Woke up around 4 A.M. this morning and went down to "the man cave" and loaded some 45 A.C.P.'s. I went to the range yesterday and shot up some ammo using IMR RED. The powder shoots OK but is a pain to meter correctly. It's a large flake power. Loaded some up using CFE PISTOL this morning. I really like CFE!!!!

Going to warm up the garage, fill the powder measure, and knock out a few hundred 9mm on the 650 today. I only have about 900 cases left to load. Just bought 1000 primers, have about 1000 bullets (X-Treme Plated), and about 2.5 lbs of powder. Get all this shot up and making the move to coated bullets. Have a good weekend and stay warm.

Ive been loading mostly 380s lately. Some 6.5grendel as well. Stock that up for the summer. Haven't loaded any 9mm in awhile. Just been buying it, since its so cheap right now.

So far this week, I’ve loaded 300 rounds of .45 using Xtreme plated 230g bullets over Titegroup. 200 rounds of .40 180g plated over TG, 300 rounds of 38 Spc loaded with Indiana Bullet Company 158g SWC and AA5 and 50 rounds of .357 Mag with 158g XTPs over H110.

    It’s been a good week.

I’m loading a variation of Doublehelix’s mouse farts right now.

Using 4.4gr WIN231 and going down from there. 100gr X-treme bullets.

I’m going to see how easy I can make an XDs shoot.

I had to play with the recoil spring to get them to cycle reliably, so that is something to keep in mind as you chase the lower end. Good luck!!!

It was 100% reliable at 4.4gr and it went down hill from there. I should have just took your word for it haha

I got done with 9mm and started trimming 223 brass. Did just enough to remember how much brass prep sucks.

Got my 550 set up for 45 ACP and managed to crank out 100. 200gr Xtreme RN over 4.3gr of Clays. It has been 2 years since I've changed my press to large primers and damn were there some hiccups along the way. Not quite sure why I always have so much trouble with the switch. Hoping to do several more tomorrow.
