I've been working up various loads for my M1903. Last week I tried IMR 4064, Varget, BL-C(2) and IMR 4895.

IMR 4064 grouped the best, and IMR 4895 barely hit the paper!:dunno: The other two were okay, but not as consistent as 4064.

For my next trip I have 3 different powder charges (46.1, 46.6, and 47.4 grains) , 2 kinds of bullets (Hornady 150 FMJ vs generic 147 gr FMJ) and crimped vs. uncrimped rounds. Curious to see to what extent these variables affect accuracy.

I have a surplus of h335 so i did dome testing with it in 30 06, and actually it did pretty good, using 150gr fmj for garand and o3a3, i like 414,4064 too but 4064 can be temperature sensitive

RMR had a sale on these a while ago and I picked up some on a whim....https://www.rmrbullets.com/shop/bul...ated-hollow-point-with-cannelure-bullets-new/

I wanted to make a "spicy" 38 Special load so I used the max load of 6 grains of Power Pistol since I already have a bunch of it. I gave them a light roll crimp right near the top of the provided cannelure which ends up being a 1.470" oal. They chrono right at 1000fps average out of my 6" GP100 and are super clean burning. And most importantly, my gun LOVES them accuracy wise.

Looks like I'll be loading 9mm so I have some ammo for my new s&w mp9

Cabelas ran out, no idea when next shipment will be.

So, Cabelas did have 9mm brass and some 9mm bullets left in stock. Pretty sure I still have primers, checking storage and getting the press/dies/powder out of their tonight or tomorow.

Nosler 115gr JHP is on the menu, pretty sure I've got Power Pistol and Bullseye. Cut my teeth loading 9mm 115gr and did pretty well at it (ie no malfunctions and they seemed pretty consistent.)

Taking inventory tonight. See what I need more of as far as bullets and primers to be able to load all the brass I have. Hopefully see a free Hazmat ad soon and place an order. Figure if they go to a non essential shutdown due to the virus I will be busy loading a bunch of ammo

From what I read on other posts looks like I will be loading 9mm if I want to shoot any of mine anytime soon. As it is the press was already set up for 9mm. Will be off work for at least next week so I should have some time to reload .

Felt the need to do something productive in the current situation. No real need to load but decided loading 00 buck was prudent. Nice to have a mold........

Looks like I will be doing more 9mm and 556 soon. My BIL is getting low on his supply so I will be helping him out.

Working on some 9mms now. Gonna roll about 500 for now then switch to 45acp.

With the ammo shortage you should fetcha mint on those premium hand loads for the BIL

Yeah I know! He will owe me at some point when I need something! Times like this is when I wish I had my manufacture license. With the current demand, it wouldn't take long to pay for the license and insurance for a year.
