Is there a way to send a PM to a social group and that message going to all the members of that social group?

I ask because the INGO NWI group has grown to 88 members now & growing and we are brainstorming ideas for 2010 and it's hard to send a PM to all the members to look at a specific thread. Right now we have been using the post feature to redirect members to specific event post but not all the members look at the INGO NWI social group for post.

Good question.

When I tried to contact NWI people I had to send PM's individually. I know Plague421 started the group and he has not been posting much anymore.

For the last event I did send PMs to all 88 members (5 names per PM) with the same message for all. I had to send 18 PMs (5 members per PM) all together with the same message. It would be easier to just send it once.

I'm not sure how difficult the logistics are.

The measures are likely put in place to prevent spammers from mass-messaging INGO members, but I suspect it could be set up where Site Supporters could PM more or something.

MOD/ADMIN is this possible?

mods can PM a huge amount of people at once. you might get one of them to send out your PM.
