I keep seeing TV ads for a 4Patriot Solar generator. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they really a solid genny or just some more TV "hype"? Do they really put out the power needed to run a fridge or freezer and a few other smaller devices (TV, laptop, lights, radios fans, fireplace blower, etc)? The idea of a solar generator appeals to me, but I don't want to throw my money away on some TV gimmick.

I keep seeing that annoying commercial. Get a free solar panel with it.. without the panel, it's worthless and for no bigger than it is...it isn't capable of doing everything stated. Without more panels and batteries, all you got is a weekend camping power source at best. I hate that any of these are advertised as generators.

Seem to be overpriced to me. There are plenty of cheaper options on Amazon
