    SOLD PENDING FUNDS $450
    S&W 64-5, 38 sp, DAO, SS, 6 rd revolver

Comes in a Ruger hardbox that I had handy.
Included will be a box of reloads for practice.

This revolver belonged to my best friend of decades.
He had it for over 20 yrs buying it for a home defense gun.
    Selling b/c I bought a 7 rd .357 magnum to replace it.

The Model 64 is the stainless steel version of the blued Model 10: .38 Special caliber, fixed sights, 4” barrel.
Not possible to manually cock the hammer: only DAO.
You can use +P rounds in this revolver.
    Trigger pull is pleasantly smooth.
I love shooting D/A with a revolver and I think perfect for home defense, the reason I bought it.
The fixed sights are certainly adequate for self-defense & I thought were fine at the range (range pics below).
I painted the front sight with luminous red paint (easily removable if not preferred).
Th SW 64 comes in both round & square butt.
This revolver is a round butt frame with a square butt grip installed. (see last pic).

    Smith & Wesson Comments:
Pretty much every cop in the US carried some variation of this on his or her hip from the 1900’s all the way into the 1980s.
It wouldn’t have lasted that long if not for its legendary reliability.
No safety levers to fiddle with, no pesky locks, no loaded-chamber-indicator needed.
There’s a reason Smith and Wesson has been called the world’s first “point and shoot” interface.
The 64 is an excellent gun and it will take lots of Plus P .38s besides the standard pressure .38s.

I live in Wanamaker, SE Indy, outside of E465 & NE of Greenwood.
Must have LTCH and IN driver's license.
