That is another outstanding job. Makes me want another 1911! Or can we just build another top half for mine?
I think a Fusion kit is in order

Fusion kit? Now I must Google.I think a Fusion kit is in order
Constituent -> a component part of something.
I.e. building it from all of it's individual parts rather than as a kit or pre-assembled gun.
The word has other meanings as well but, in this case, it means from it's individual pieces .

Wasn't meaning to build a beater - either get a beater and clean it up [i.e. functional but ugly gun] or get a kit and fit and finish it the way I want it done .It's not practical to build a beater cost from individual parts.
You sir, have a gift. I really enjoy looking at your astonishing works of art on here. In fact I envy your skills. I would love to do gunsmithing like this, but I'm lacking in the "paint" department and afraid that any investment in schooling could be wasteful if I were unable to "renew" guns like what I see on here. Enough with the threadjacking, congrats on the nice 1911.
Fusion kit? Now I must Google.
It just so happens i will have a spare one any day now. But they arent beaters
Dang skippy. He's my 1911 choppy chop hero.
The inner-conflict must be killing him...Scary thing is he's my Glock hero as well...
Don't do it!I have no problem working on the metal slide. it's the sitting down with a solider iron and making pitts in plastic that I haven't been able to make myself do

I don't think I can get there either... but there may be another mod or 2 that would be interesting
