If you read the article, it states that they arent actually using the Cesna. They are attacking ground targets with SU-25s.

A C-130? Great plane, not used offensively.

It was, now the MOAB, but while I guess it can techinically be an offensive weapon for "shock and awe" purposes, it's main use is mine clearing and flattening wooded area for a helicopter LZ...but I guarantee that if the MOAB was being used over there now....everyone would know it.

The "Daisy Cutter" was the nickname for the BLU-82 (Vietnam-2008), 15,000 lbs of forest-flattening goodness. The MOAB, GBU-43/B, replaced it and is just under 23,000 lbs, but intended for about the same purpose.
