Ok, NON-AR-15 recs:

1. Shhhheytr AUG. Best (arguably) of bullpups, subject to sales, eschew the AR-15 mag variant.

2. Galil ACE in 5.56. The AK perfected. Just a home run by IWI.

3. Caracal 816, Chris Sirois's improvement on HK416 and ZIG516 (his design). Fantastic piece, 400 better than the HK offering.

4. SIG516, have seen these here at $1,100ish. I have the 4 and 2 settings. Great piece, great suppressor host.

5. MKE HK93 clone . . . assuming the litigation is settled and they import. Of course could be stillborn but I have resources ready for the press release.

Honorable Mentions: the PDS from RRA, a complete evolutionary dead end, I love it and PWS PRO.

I haven’t heard anything bad about the 5.56 JAKL, but I feel like there are still better options out there. My Bren 2 is absolutely AMAZING. The mods out there are endless, the gun runs amazing suppressed and it’s light weight.

Even venturing over to the AK 5.56 platform if you’re okay with a little bit of weight..Obviously not 5.56 but still.

Galil ACE is a good option, they run pretty good. Mine in 5.45 rocks.
