Do not own one so take with a grain of salt, but post conversion I have never heard anything but awesome things! One is on my "to get" right now. Only real "advice" or helpful input is that a simple pump 870/500 gun is pretty tough to beat as a HD gun.

Brother has a Saiga 12, It is a hell of a lot of fun to shoot. Safety is a bit tight, but thats just because he doesn't shoot it often. Very easy to go through a lot of ammo with it if your shoulder can take it. If I wasn't in the process of buiding an AR, that would be my next purchase

how is the accuracy on it. . . . i read a review about the saiga and it said the rifle version was accurate out to about 70 yards w buckshot and 100 yards with a slug. I thought B.S. just curious

My father still brags about how cheap he got his saiga when they first came out. He liked them so much he bought the 12 guage, 20 guage and. 410.

I have shot a few Saiga's, 12 gauge and a 7.62x39. The guns I shot had fixed magazines back in the day, now you can use detachable mags! I wouldn't mind having one in 12 gauge myself. For now I will stick with my Mossberg 500. :D
