South of Indy 3-Gun?

I got all excited when Indiana Multigun posted their upcoming schedule until I mapped out all the ranges. The closest one is 2 hours away from me. Anyone know of any competitions private, public, large or small south of ACC? I know there are some in Kentucky but unless its in Louisville it's too far as well.

I'm in the same boat. I have wanted to try 3 gun since Indiana Multigun started. I know there are 3 gun shoots in Owensboro and Winchester, Kentucky. Both of those are at least a 2 hour drive from Seymour. So, either way I go, it's going to be a drive. I'm just going to bite the bullet and make some this year.

There was some talk about starting some 3gun at South central. The range is near Seymour. Not sure if it's gonna happen, but I will try to find out....

They have matches in Owensboro, KY at Owensboro Rifle and Pistol Club which isnt very far away. There is a website for it orpci.org. I don't believe they have any matches listed for this year yet, but word is the first match will be at the end of March.

No 3 Gun in Southern Indiana that I'm aware of. Wilmore, Rockcastle, and Owensboro in KY and Atlanta IN are around 1.5-2 hours from me. Wildcat Valley is about 3 hours, Ft. Wayne is around 4 hours. All are worth the trip if you're interested in 3 Gun.

I just drove 2.5 hours to Rockcastle in KY this Sunday for a 3 gun match. All I can say about it is that it was worth every single penny of gas money. If you can drive 1.5 hours to go to one, I'd say that's pretty darn close.

But if you have land to shoot, do what I did/am doing. Last September I wanted to shoot a 3 gun match really bad, but wasn't driving 6 hours north just to do it, so I set up my own match on farm and invited my friends. We had 14 people show up to shoot and it was a great time. I just started planning another one for June. Unfortunately, due to insurance and liability reasons, we cannot require an entry fee or give money for prizes, and we also only invite friends and people we trust. My dad and I are working very hard to bring the sport of 3 gun to the southern part of the state, but right now were only in the first stage, which is getting more people interested in it. Our hopes are that as word spreads, we will gain more interest and hopefully draw some attention from some local clubs.
