Southern TN Northern Alabama Camping?

Looking for something different as apposed to Smokey Mountain NP. Anyone ever camped in above mentioned areas?

Camped no, but if you can't fake a Southern accent, I'd stay out of North Alabama... and if you decide to go anyway, and end up getting cornered, tell them stopped on their way to Space Camp, and have been looking for the roadside stand that sells the best spicy boiled peanuts. lol

You might look into Monte Sano state park near Huntsville. It is pretty nice with camping and hiking etc.

Chattanooga and the Look Out Mountain area?

Joe Wheeler State Park in northern Alabama. Camping, boat ramp and a nice golf course. Super quiet area. And close to I-65.
