Speer lawman 9mm is HOT!!

Does anyone know what makes the speer lawman 115 9mm so loud and powerful i have noticed that it has tremendously more recoil than other factory 9mm and its really loud a few people at fns last fri. thought i was shooting a .45. lawmans ballistics say that they have about the same velocity as other comparable ammo.

IIRC lawman is loaded to the same specs as gold dots for accurate simulation during practice. Most practice ammo is loaded quite a bit cooler than gold dots or other SD ammo.

It's possible they use a slower burning powder, which might account for some of that.

Some people at a FNS thought the same about the Tula 9mm I was using one night, but the recoil wasn't bad. It just had more flame/sparks coming out of the muzzle.

I have shot it and could tell no difference. Of course I load my range ammo to near max.
