    imo the best bang for your buck spotter is the konus 20-60x50. it runs about 190. for 50 only use id say you could use one of the cheaper ones, but i you want the ability to extend your range more go with the konus

    I got a Bass Pro brand spotting scope fro about $80 on sale. it is a 15-40x. For the range it is everything I need. We shoot 30-06, 300wsm, 308, 22-250, 223, and 7mm at 200 yds. and we can see clearly. If i was going on a hunt out west, I might want something a little better, but for the range, I'm happy with it. I think it's called an "Outlook" model.

    I'm in the same boat as the OP. Thanks for the heads up on CDNN IGG.

    Although I'm not finding spotting scope 1 on there....what section are they under? :dunno:
