Got an email about a new springfield this morning, the "springfield 911".
they are really cashing in on the whole "when cops take minutes and you have seconds" thing.

looks like a sig 938 with a big trigger guard to me. Looks like they are priced the same as well.

seems to me springfield should be putting out some more innovative designs to win back customers they lost in 2017.

I was initially excited, because i was thinking a more affordable 1911 in .380 other than the browning but nope.

Does this thing interest anyone? Very meh to me.

    I got the email too.
I'm not interested in another .380. I have a couple of them if needed for "Plan C". One of them is a weird "CM Pink" gun. LOL!
Hell, my gf carries a G19 for goodness sake. She has a good sized number of options to choose to carry.
The world don't need no more .380s.
I'm not upset at Springfield Armory over the bending over to appease the legislators but it did leave a little bad taste in my mouth. This ain't the flavor I'd choose to wipe out the taste.

Can't say that I'm real fired up about it either.

I like the cartridge, i dont like the platform. Springfield needs to take a gander at whats going on over at ruger.. Bring me more pistol caliber carbines. Make some competition

I (and some buddies) have been interested in the Sig for some time now, but the price tag is too steep. Would not be surprised if they find a market for this pistol. I will certainly take a look.

Not interested in this one but the XD-E has caught my eye. I currently carry a Shield, but no rail to hang a light and/or laser and the XD-E has extra rounds, a rail and maybe slightly larger but not S&W M&P 2.0 compact big.

I need to check one out.

Personally, I like the Bersa Thunder for the .380acp, but then , the last two .380's I've bought (both Bersa Thunders) I've given away as gifts.
One now lives with my mother in Florida, and the other is here locally with my niece.
Not a real big fan of the .380 myself, it's o.k., but to each his own...
