    I need to comment on the great customer service I just got from SA.

    I purchased a preowned SA, compact, .45 about a week ago. Had the box and paperwork but did not have the recoil rod disassembly clip, the integral locking system tool or the mainspring take-down tool. I emailed SA last Saturday asking the costs and procedure to get the items. They replied Monday AM, asking for my address and indicated they would send them free of charge. I gave them my address on Monday afternoon and today, Wednesday, two of each of the items arrived along with a SA sticker.

    I wish all customer service worked that way! +1 for Springfield Armory.

    I too purchased a used SA .40 stainless service model. Got everything except the owners manual and they sent me one, no questions asked, and within a couple days to boot. I also have a ( new in Jan. 2010) SA XD9SC, and love it~!
