I've got a nice Springfield armory WW2 Garand that is from early 1944. This rifle was loaned to Denmark after the war and has a Danish replacement barrel. These VAR marked barrels are known for their accuracy. The barrel is in very good shape, MW1 TE2.
The trigger group is a wartime -8 , the oprod is a -9 with relief cut. The bolt is a 65 series. The stock has some character but is solid. It has a serial number on the bottom which is common on the Danish loaned rifles. The number does not match. There is a light circle P cartouche. It's likely a WW2 stock as these rifles were loaned early on after the war.
Looking for $800 cash on the south side of Indy. No trades this time.
ETA I can't get more than on picture to appear for some reason , more pictures are in my album.
