I had one, and it shot very well. I did some minor internal upgrades right off the bat, so maybe that made a difference. In terms of comparison i sold it and kept my Staccato. For the money, i think Springfield opened up a new market into 2011s. It honestly shot good, i just felt my Staccato was better. That comes with a cost. If you don't mine spending an extra $600 (used market), i would say just go for the tried and true staccato. If $600 is a big deal to you, and you want a doublestack 1911 i think the prodigy might be a good option.

With a DSC comp on the prodigy, it was almost as flat as my staccato p with PMM comp.

I have a 5" Prodigy. No issues yet but I'm still sub 1000 rounds and using the two stock mags. If I had it to do over, I would get the 4.25 for holster selections.
