Spend a couple hundred more and get a good starter safe. Keeps little hands off your collection and makes it a little more difficult for the bad guys to get into as well.

Movings hard enough without having to mess with something big taking up space and weighing 400+lbs. On the downside if he buys a cabinet and then moves and wants a real safe, now you have a cabinet you don't want.

I have looked at Stack-On's "Elite Series" at Dicks Sporting Goods, seems like a pretty good safe to me.

From the reviews I read, they get dented/bent during shipping, otherwise I would.

I would tell you either save up and get a bigger better safe, or wait until you move. If your really worried about them being stole, let a good friend store your long arms for you and keep your night stand gun at home.

I would hate to see you get flimsy metal cabinet and have your guns damaged

They dent pretty easily. I have one that I store ammo in and it had a small dent in the door when I took it out of the box. I bought mine at Dick's Sporting Goods by the way.
