Stainless finish

Long story, short version. I had new sights put on my Colt 1911 and the supposed gunsmith scratched the poop out of it. other than polishing, is there any finish that will hold up on stainless. I'm thinking of going to a blue or black finish on the slide.

Duracoat can be applied over stainless steel

Duracoat works however I like KG guncoat better. I have used it on stainless and steel. I just finished a stainless 1911 with it last week, it is very durable if done right. I like the apperance better than duracoat too
