    Actually, there's not really anything to get over if pistol shooting.
    It's rifles that can be problematic.

    If not a lot of range time the ones I have helped tended to struggle getting directly behind the gun and keeping POA. A bit of work in stance/grip and trigger time assisted immensely. Also having a bore laser showed them whats up.

    Never worked with one on a long gun but I can see how that would be tough.

    You notice them, because they're trying to squish their face into the stock, trying to line up the higher eye.

    They can either learn to shoot with the other hand, or learn to use the other eye.

    No personal experience, but Tom Gresham says that they need to learn to shoot rifles with their off-hand.

    Switch hand or eye, either works.
    I shoot either.
    I've found its hard to teach people, if I don't know how.
    So I started the left hand thing to teach left handers.
    Then I started looking up cross eye dominant studd, and practiced.

    I still shoot better righty. (Both)
    But, while teaching I can swap back and forth.

    Thinking of starting a thread, with references.
    But I'm swamped this week.
