I just recently picked up a .22lr cricket for my daughter. I'm thinking of holding it back till she turns 7 in July. If I can wait that long. :):
This looked like a good rifle to start her with and teach the basics of shooting and safety.

I've had my twin 5 yr old boys shoot the .22 rifle with me a few times. Never too young to get familar with saftey and proper use.
    Just always use eye/ear protection.

    Keep up the education!

My 5y/o has shot a .22 and two rounds of .223, after which he said he needed to be SIX to shoot that one again. :):

Take her out now. Age is a just a number. Safety first and the rest will follow.

My daughter just turned 4, and I'm dying to take her to the range.
Unfortunately, she follows my direction like her mother(lol). I'm hoping to get her out next summer. Hopefully she'll have the attitude in check by then. I got my work cut out.

I started my boy on airsoft at 6 and a bb gun at 8. He is very good about finger off the trigger until ready to fire - surprised me actually. I'm dying to pick up a kel tec su 22e model for him now. he is ready to go to the range with me and his uncles. Good times!

Anyone have experience with a KT su 22e?
