Good luck outlawing every semi-auto gun.

Can we trade Gary to Chicago for the rural part of Illinois yet?

Let all these ninnys be together.

That is something to truly talk to our reps about. Introducing a bill to swap some territory. Submit to both Illinois and Indiana...
Would this function the same as a normal bill, or since it is a change to territory, would we need a referendum to be voted on by the public?

Is a convertible semi- auto just a full auto with the switch on the one fire per trigger pull setting? Or a new style rifle with a top cover that folds into the stock, something like the thing in the front that goes up?

I wonder if Vernon Smith would be willing to go house to house to collect all the "semi-auto convertibles"?

As with just about all of these, they intentionally cloud the terminology to make the potential application as broad as possible. So Mr. Gun Grabber Smith here says:

    convertible semiautomatic weapon

And we think he means an AR-15 with a soft and retractable top. But then some judge rules that since ANY AR-15 can in theory at least be converted into a fully automatic weapon, they are ALL illegal under this law. The fact that doing so even now is totally illegal is lost on this fool.

And yet again, what do criminals, gang-bangers, drug lords, and the like care? They are ALREADY engaged in criminal enterprise and if a fully automatic weapon suits them, they get one using any means necessary. So this law, while sounding good to Mr. Bloomberg and his Misguided Moms proxy, does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to affect criminal use of anything!

If you're unfortunate enough to live in this clown's district, I sure hope you'll contact his office and let them know how senseless his proposal is.

Same thing going on with the CT Newtown study recommendations. Any weapon capable of accepting more than 10 rounds...If it has a mag, someone could build one for it. Ban it all. Kinda introduces the bullet button type of thing.

Indeed I read that report and the scary thing is that they don't really gave a damn what the Constitution (US or CT) says. In typical liberal fashion they know they are right and the Constitution is wrong and so it can be ignored.
