Who does that? I've seen plenty of .22 available in this area; the price has increased, but not that much.

    Just stop it.

Great idea. Cabelas just had a special offering 1400 rounds for $90+shipping and tax. $60 for a brick of 500 comes to $0.12/round. $90 for 1400 rounds +$5 for shipping and $6.30 for 7% sales tax comes to $101.30 or $0.072. Saves $0.05/round.

Let the scalpers shoot up their own ammo.

Indiana is a black hole for .22LR. The usual suspects (Gander, Walmart, Dicks, etc) never have it. You can find it sometimes at places like Point Blank and Rural King but even there it is spotty. Pretty much anyone with significant foot traffic never has any and for the most part whoever DOES get a shipment, its typically gone within a day or two.

Now I have noticed if I go over to Columbus, OH I can find PLENTY, even at Meijer of all places. And at around 6c or so.

Yep, if I go north to Michigan, I have no problems at all...

I've seen none for less than $50 for a long time. Last time I bought a brick it was $25. I had hope that the stupidness was coming to an end. Before that it was $11.

I won't pay it. I'm not going to pay $35 either.

Well, I guess you will not be shooting any more .22 then
I have seen ammo go up across the board.

My last purchase of 500ish count boxes was between $30-35 several months ago depending on brand. That seems to be the new norm.

Scalpers aren't the only ones selling at horrid prices, freaking Blythes in Valpo sells bricks of thunderbolts for 49.99.
In my area, this is pretty much the only way to buy .22 ammo. I refuse.

    I'd welcome $35 bricks

Down here a couple of the local shops have 500 rounds for $60. I have no problem with that because at least they have it to buy. If somebody needs a brick it is there to be had. If they priced it lower somebody would simply buy it all. I am sure once .22 becomes available locally the price will reflect the market. Until then I have enough .22 and am happy to see some actually sitting on the shelf.

I've been able to mail order CCI SV and Federal HV Match bricks for $50 or less, 300ct CCI AR Tactical for $25, and find 325ct Automatch for $24ish at Cabelas and Bass Pro so Ive done nothing but grow my supply of rimfire over the last two years.

Yeah, that is more than what some are willing to pay...but I don't shoot Rem Golden Bullets or Thunderbolts or Fed Bulk or Win 333 and it is still a lot less cheese per pew than even steel case Wolf 223.

Its your money, spend it how you want...
