So as many of you know, I am not easy on any of my tools (actual tools, guns, knives, holsters, and so on) and some of you may have seen my torture videos, I don't use things until I test them...
Anyway I picked this Strider EBDB up this past Sunday and like in normal fashion as I do with all of my tools, I test them. Well there happen to be an old muffler at the shop today and seemed like a good opportunity to do some REAL testing on this knife. I mean you hear all the hype and hear how awesomely strong these knives are and their super steel and all that, but there is nothing like seeing it for yourself (and yea, I'm that guy).
You hear I the video me saying something about its 1/16" steel but on closer inspection its actually 1/8" steel!
I know the video is bad, but it's all we had at the moment. I took a 3lb mini sledgehammer and pierced right through the steel, then pounded (and I was reeeeeally smacking that thing, trying to jack the knife up really, and failed!) the back of the blade to end up cutting a @ 5" gash perfectly through the 1/8" steel muffler....video only shows us doing one side, did the other side before we recorded this side. It shows pictures of both sides.
