It looks like they have to stay in order to meet certain contractual obligations, but they are not requiered to grow their business there. It may take several years, but with the signing of the new resttrictions, the door is now open for Beretta to look elseware to build new facilities.
I sent a letter to Pence asking him to consider bringing gun makers or ammunition makers to Indiana and they reply I got back was that they were already considering it. Also I sent one to our Mayor (Anderson mayor Kevin Smith) who is always running to China in an apparently futile attempt to attract foreign investors to the city. Why, I asked, doesn't he consider bringing American firearm makers here from states who are not nearly as gun friendly. I have never received a reply. (No surprise.)
With the unemployment and the large 2nd amendment support, they will have more applicants than they know what to do with. Hell, if the pay is descent, I'd leave my job and do something I enjoy. Maybe there is an employee discount
Probably have company picnics at the shooting range too!
This is what I know about Beretta leaving Md, I am from southern Md just moved to IN , I have 2 friends that work there and they were told more of the shipping and a small amount of manufacturing will move over to the Virginia facility. The only thing in limbo with Beretta is they were getting ready to do a expansion to the Md plant and now they might add that to Va also. I would add some local links to this post but in don't know how too.
