Nope, one location was a block away from ISU's campus and the other was just built in a new strip mall on the south side of town.

I was told it was a franchise violation of some sort that got them shut down. Really made me sad as JJ was my Saturday night dinner of choice at least 1-2 times a month.

Glad to meet another Sycamore. I graduated in '01 from ISU with a CJ degree...

+1 to Penn Station. It's greasy, but it's yummy. I actually rarely eat at sandwich places these days. I've only been to Jimmy John's twice, but didn't like it either time. Would rather eat at Subway.

Of those listed, I prefer Quizno's.

Me too, but buying at Subway because of the number of locations. The 5 Dollar sub thing is about to kill me. I've been eating at Subway at least once a week since this started. It gives me, dinner one night and lunch the next day, so it must be working :D

Yeah I think JJ's tastes fresher, but it's hard to beat the $5 Subs.

Ya I forgot Penn Station. Good subs but I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack when I walk out of there.

That is a great way to put it!

All the Limpie's in Fort Wayne are gone.

Jimmy John's has a couple good sandwiches, but literally every time I have gone to the one here (7-8 times), they have fouled up the order or made some dumb comment on my sandwich selection. I don't go there now because of that and other rampant stupidity at their local franchise.

I have eaten at Quiznos twice: lame both times.

We have Subways all over town and those are my favorite. I can eat well and not intake too much cholesterol or calories.

How does JJs manage to mess up your order. You don't get to choose what you want on there besides cheese.

Making the wrong sandwich...had that happen twice when I was the only person in line

Called an order for the office and went to pick it up: forgot to make and include my sandwich, though I had been charged for it.

Another time, the office ordered for me and my sandwich was missing, despite again being charged for it.

Some of the other experiences I had with them left me less than motivated to return:

One of their drivers nearly hit me head on as he ran an intersection in front of me. I was in one of my antiques and it became a lock-up-the-brakes-steer and curse-for-your-life kind of moves to avoid the collision and stay on the road.

Hurried to get there one night on my way home from a late night at work...they decided to close 10 minutes early, just as I was pulling in the parking lot in front of their door. As I approached, I got the "We're closed" phrase mouthed to me. I just waved and never returned.
I just get lucky at Jimmy John's. :lol2:

Jimmy John's does seem to have the rudest employees, but there is just something I like about their subs.

Subway subs always taste blah to me. Though I do like being able to control the amount of calories and fat. I am trying to lose weight, bit I fear I will always be a member of the Big Bones club.
