Go with the Glock 27. It gives you the most compatibility: mags, parts, holsters, etc. The platform is exactly the same, thus the shooting characteristics will be as similar as possible given the size difference. If your coworkers also use the same sidearm, that gives you even more compatibility. I doubt things would ever get so bad that you needed your backup, but if you do the I'd say the Glock 27 would be your best option given that the 22 is your primary.

Seeing as Most security guards do not make a ton of money,
I'd go along with the compatibility route. The compact version
of his primary is the best choice.

That is why I will be buying a smith & wesson M&P9c
    to compliment my M&P9.:rockwoot:

Sounds like a good portion of the guys here are of the same mind set as me. I would stick with the same platform and the same caliber. Should your primary go down, you still have the extra mags for the 22 that will work in the 27. No second gun to get used to and still have the same excellent reliability. Thats the route I went.
