Ran a quick search but I'm not coming up with anything, so if I missed it just point me in the right direction.
I know that if the proper fees are paid, paperwork completed and blessings from the BATFE are recieved, a law abiding citizen can build a firearm/suppressor. But the legal issuses aren't what I'm interested in, I'm wondering about the design.
I've been thinking about trying to run the optimization problem for a .223/556 suppressor. Length, material, diameter, tolerances, baffle designs, gas flows, pressure at outlet for good sound suppression, ect. anyone know if this has already been done (where I can get to it)? If not I'll take it on and see how far it gets, but if someone has already done some if it that would save me some effort.
