    I too am really happy. It is sad that it was only 5-4. This makes the upcoming presidential election even more important.

    It's not all sunshine and lollipops.

    Reading the decsion leaves quite a bit to be desired. From licensing to registration, limits on types and capacities... this was in no way a glorious decision.

    While the court rightly upheld the individual Right to KBA, the remainder is reminiscent of the laws and rulings put in place by the Nazi's in the 1930's and gun owners are the current day Jews rejoicing over "being recognized".

    Don't think for a second this is any sort of panacea.

    I think these things will be still be under the control of the states.
    I have to wonder how lawsuits will go in places like Chicago, because they do allow people to own and have guns in their homes, just not carry outside the home.

    Chicago has had a handgun "freeze" since 1982. You must register existing pistols ever year. If you wish to purchase a pistol from 1983 you may not keep it at your residence in Chicago.

    Chicago, Morton Grove, Oak Park, Evanston are all ripe.
