Planning on buying one of these two lights. I like the idea of the 200 lumens from the E2D LED Defender, but the smaller size of the E1B Backup. I really like that both of these lights have two settings for low and high output.

Anyone who owns either of these have any comment? Any alternative lights I should look at?

Does the crenellated strike bezel of the E2D LED Defender wear holes in jeans faster than a light without?

I've used both. If you are going to carry it all day every day, definitely go with the E1 backup. It carries like a dream and I don't even notice mine there.

The E2 is definitely a more aggressive light but not nearly as comfortable. I would go with it if you are going somewhere that you feel is higher-risk or where you need those extra lumens. I don't know that I would carry an E2 defender all day every day in my pocket like I do the E1 backup.

    Best,

    Joe
