Well after 3 months of going to so called doctors, from a work related injury, I finally got sent to a real Doc. Had an MRI and found out my rotator cuff was torn.

Go in for surgery tomorrow to have it repaired.

No shooting for me for a while.:(

Good luck.... Do what the doctors says and get recovered by Summer. You could recover and read all the posts on INGO. :)

Hope it's not too bad of a tear.
Pain can be a significant issue after this surgery. Some find it easier to sleep in a recliner at first. Sling use and positioning with pillows are a must. Ice is good. Heat is a definite no no.
I'd be glad to answer any questions - rehabed many a RC repair.

I've had three surgeries on my right shoulder and two were rotator cuff repairs.

Do listen to the Dr. during your recovery cause there will probably be times that you feel as though you are healed but really are not because the tendons inside your shoulder take much longer to fully heal and if you don't follow protocol you risk further injury or undoing what the surgery did and then have to do it over again.

I found sleeping rough the 1st week.
Stay positive as it's only temporary.
    Good luck!

Follow the doctors orders to the letter and make sure you go to PT even after you feel better. I didn't and subsequently I had to have a second surgery on the same shoulder a few years later. No bueno.... No bueno.

    Good luck with your surgery.

Surgery went well, he was able to repair the tear. Have to go see the Doc tomorrow to get all the specifics and see how long my recovery should be.

You're fresh out of surgery and able to type that out? At this point in my first surgery I was so out of it that I couldn't see straight enough to dial a number. :)

    Glag you're doing well!
