I still wouldn't cut on Corian though. Not any more. My dad was a restaurant owner and a master chef. When he died, I got his knives. Good Krupps steel. I won't cut on anything that even has a remote chance of taking the edge of those knives.

You obviously don't know what Corian is. Made hundreds of them, and haven't had a stain reported. Even if it did acquire a stain, simply refinish the surface, but...no... doesn't stain. Not using it as intended.

Thats funny, the counter and sink in my kitchen are Corian. The sink is white if one leaves a coffee cup sitting in tit without rinsing it out...... You get a ring of brown under the cup...
