    No, not really, Almost all the .223 I have are PMC so, no need to sort. All my 30-06 are Remington, then again no sort. Handguns, too many different brands so don't bother.

    I sort all my handgun and rifle brass, it may seem a little much but I like my rounds to be extremely consistent. Over the years I have noted the subtle differences between manufacturers, Some brass is thicker than others and I have found that the variations are enough to require some minor tweaks for each mfr.
    I sort and then batch load all the brass from the particular head stamp and keep going till I am done.
    I have found over the years that by not sorting, I get a much bigger variation in velocity and accuracy. Usually seat/crimp die is that one that gets the most adjustment.
    Some of the brass, like S and B is quite a bit thicker, Its within Saami specs but you can feel the difference in all the loading operations and if I don't adjust the seating die it will cause an overly tight crimp.
    I believe that the sorting pays big dividends in accuracy and uniformity of the loads
