    Tonight we will witness,
The "War of the collosal beast".
Filmed in 1958, this is a sequel of sorts to the original, "The Collosal Man"

    I think I remember this.
My popcorn is ready.. it's almost time for the big broadcast!

I'm going to be watching tonight ! Honestly, I was hoping for some UFC fights, but it appears that lots of sports stations are showing college football tonight.
    Svengoolie .... here I come ! (in 30 minutes).

Ohh .... and since I'm older than DoggyDaddy, I probably built the TV that he was watching in the 60's ! ;)
I remember the first person on our block to get a color television. They were considered quite well off to be able to afford such a "luxury".

At the time, color or black and white, there were only 3 channels available (ABC/NBC/CBS) and they all went off the air at 11:00pm or earlier.

One nice thing about the programming back then.
You only had to sit through 15 minutes of local news and 15 minutes of national news.

Guess there was less news to report back in the 'old days".

In old days ran cord and old tv out to big tree house and have neighbor friends over to watch creature feature every Saturday night during summers. Tonight put the tv out on back porch, got little fire and drinking root beer.

I think we got our first color tv in maybe 71 or 72. I remember my mind being blown when I saw how many shows were actually in color. I don’t remember ever thinking much about or feeling deprived when we only had the black and white tv, but when we got that color tv, I remember feeling like we were kings! :):
