Any one out there own either one of these hand guns? I was wondering if they hold up to a high round count as compared to a Glock 19,23 ? I've tried lookung on line, but was unable to find anything. Thanks
I had a SD9VE for a while as a truck gun. Its a nice basic defensive pistol, it ran 100% all be it the trigger is terrible IMO. Other than that its a nice budget pistol...
I've got both an SD9VE and an SD40VE. Great budget guns if you don't mind the trigger. They are basically a Glock design with a trigger that feels sort of like a double action. And a more natural pointer and better grip feel, IMO. I actually prefer the feel of the SD series to the M&P pistols or Glocks. The SD series also will take any M&P aftermarket sights.
I've only put a few hundred rounds through mine, but never a problem. I use my 9mm as a garage gun and my .40 as a secondary home defense gun. I don't usually carry one, as I prefer something smaller and lighter for carry. (Glock 42 or 9mm/45 Shield) I would feel well armed if I did carry one, though.
A Glock might be a bit more durable in the long term, so if that's a main concern, I'd say to go ahead and spring for the Glock. Especially if it's going to be your only gun. Glock does have the track record of durability.
