The trigger is not the best from what I've read but other than that it's a solid gun. I read Glock sued S&W and they eventually had to redesign the sigma. What are your thoughts and what should I expect to pay for one in good shape? I'm seeing $300 on the lower end up $350.

As far as I remember, the trigger was HEAVY. But for reliability, good piece.

As far as price goes, tough to beat $300 for a reliable gun in todays market, especially a S&W.

Great gun for the money. I had one in 40 cal and had no problems. Their new and improved sd9ve can be found for around the same price.

Owned one. bought 100 rounds for it when i bought it. striker broke on round 98.sent it back to smith they fixed it and i sold it.
There very few holster options, mags can only be bought from smith and wesson, the trigger is a mile long, recoil is terrible compared to other models, non adjustable sights that are hard to find replacements for.

take that 300 if thats all you can afford and go pickup an LCP or save for a glock/xd/MP

I had one and it was very reliable and good firearm for the money. I purchased it for plinking because 9mm was less expensive than feeding my .40 cal glocks. I just couldn't get comfortable withe long and stiff trigger pull. Spoiled by the Glocks I suppose. It is good for the money though.

Sigma - worst gun I ever touched, hands down. I would take a high point over a Sigma any day. And that says a lot about what a pathetic piece of crap the Sigma is.

Had the sw9ve and thought it was pretty good for the money. Not allot of options for it when I had it not sure now. For the money would go Sig or Glock over it.

I've got a Sigma 9ve. My dislikes about it are the length of pull and the break at the end. Lots of You tube videos on and articles out there on how to "improve" the trigger. I haven't made the attempt.

The gun feels great in my hand and is very easy to carry. I find it to be a very good shooter, but I'm not happy with the trigger. For that matter I'm not a fan of Glock triggers either.
